While working at Gensler, I was asked by a client to create a custom illustration for a long wall in a cafeteria at their office. Since their office was located in Bentonville, Arkansas, I wanted to highlight the beautiful greenery of the Ozark and contrast it with an illustration of a well-known street in Bentonville that includes the Walton’s Five and Dime and the Walmart Museum. On the right of the mural, I included an illustration of Sam Walton’s 1979 Ford F-150 truck with his dog, Ol’ Roy. A replica of the truck can be seen in front of the Walton’s Five and Dime, while the real truck sits on display in the Walmart Museum.
